Many Waters Cannot Quench Love
The Beloved in Songs of Solomon 8:6-7, spoke about the love she had for her lover in explicit terms as she laid her heart bare. "Place me like a seal upon your heart, for this love is as strong as death, it burns like blazing fire, like a mighty flame, many waters cannot quench it and neither can flood waters drown it." Selah!!!!!!!!!
Can you pause to think about these words? What do they mean to you? Where are you in your personal relationship to and with your lover - Jesus Christ? Can you say Lover of my heart and soul place me like a seal upon your heart, for this love that I have for you is as strong as death, it blazes like burning fire, its like a mighty flame, but most of all MANY WATERS cannot quench this love, nether can the flood waters drown it.
If you can say that verbally, how does it look with with body temple when you stand to express this love? Does it look weak, casual, rushed, fearful, timid or bold, extravagant, exhuberant, unapologetic?
As Sacred Dance Ministers, we must aim daily to get into the heart of our lover. Let Him love on us. As we drink of this cup of love, we can't help but to respond unrestrained. Then we can say many waters-trials, persecution, negative words, trauma, hurts and pain, disappointments, and the likes, cannot quench this love, it is as strong as death.
Application: We know His love. As we display this daily, as His living Epistles the world will see and know that we are His disciples, and come to know Him as Savior and Lord.
